Developed as an AIGC sci-fi micro series, NUSA brings cultural elements into a fictional futuristic world where tradition, technology, identity and change collide. Through short-form storytelling and AI-assisted production, the series explores new ways of presenting culturally rooted narratives to contemporary and future audiences.
At the centre of the story is Robo Budaya, a symbol of strength, identity and heritage within the world of Kampung NUSA.
Episode 1
In Kampung NUSA, every Robo Budaya is created as a symbol of strength and defence. But Lantra, the son of Mawlaya, chooses a different path when he modifies a Robo Budaya to perform beyond the boundaries of the village.
His actions are seen as tarnishing the honour of NUSA by commercialising a symbol of its heritage. As punishment, Lantra is forced to enter Arenaria and face Kesuma Dewa, the Robo Budaya belonging to the chief of Kampung NUSA.
In a battle that will determine his fate, can Lantra prove that despite choosing a different path, his soul still belongs to NUSA?
Episode 2
Following Lantra’s victory over Kesuma Dewa, the balance within Kampung NUSA begins to shift.
News of the unexpected victory reaches Lara, a woman from Cakrawala who arrives in Kampung NUSA with her Robo Budaya, Arjuna, intending to test the strength of Kesuma Dewa. Upon her arrival, however, she discovers that the battle is already over and Kesuma Dewa has been defeated by Lantra.
Lara’s attention now turns towards Lantra and his Robo Budaya. What is she truly seeking to test, and could their encounter signal the beginning of a much greater challenge?
